Worth every penny.

Purchased after reading a few reviews saying these are a bit of a pain to to fit, they fit like a glove and sound just has good as the originals , and cost nearly half the price .well made and quality is second to none .would definately recommend these aftermarket pads .my 650's are sounding marvelous again.

Good quality pads

The pads are very similar in appearance to the original Senneheiser pads. It comes with an attachement ring and the foam inserts. The foam looks like it's a tad thicker than an original one. The fitment of the pads IS tricky- there's a considerable force ("considerable" in terms that you're working with headphones, and not pressing the oranges for juice...). For me it felt that it's too much, but I kept trying until the "click". Once I knew how much is needed, the second pad went quicker. My advice would be to try fitting the old pads back on (once you remove them, of course) and do it without a foam inserts. That way you will see/hear how the pads are supposed to click in to the position.
You have to press the pads/ring until it clicks in to place. If you look into the groove around the driver, where the ring is supposed to go, you can notice "lips" on the outer part of the groove at 1, 5, 7 and 11 o'clock position and these are the places where the rings/pads click into the position and that's where you're supposed to press.
The whole process might seem complicated from my description, but it's really not. Watch youtube videos as well.
Finally, the most important part- THE SOUND. Or, better, do the pads AFFECT THE SOUND ;)
As you all know, there is no and there can't be any objectivity when dealing with such claims, therefore it's just my opinion on the matter.
Also, the perceived change in sound is due to the fact that the new pads are, well- new, and so the headphones will (at least innitially) sit slightly different on your head when compared to the old pads.
The sound signature did not change-it's still good old HD650. Nice and smooth and sweet and detailed at the same time ;)
Only perceived difference (in general terms) is more pronounced and punchy low end. Again, this is most likely because the distance between the ears and the drivers is bigger because the new pads are stiffer.
I could not discern any obvious change in highs. Only my mind tried to trick me by saying that if the foam inserts are slightly thicker than the original/old ones, there must be more filtering/damping of the high end. And maybe there is... ;)
O.K. enough of this.
In short- awsome pads. Would buy again.
Fast shipping with a tracking number and nice communication.
Thank you,
Domas

Used with a HD58X

For the price I absolutely cannot complain about the feel. Great feeling Velour that hasn't tarnished in the few months I've used them and very close to the OEM feel I remember (albeit from 5-6 years ago). My original ones are so squished in comparison that the sound has completely changed, regaining an ungodly amount of lost detail and soundstage without colouring the original sound as previous pads I've tried have in the past.

I HAD one gripe, that the cups wouldn'y stay attached whatsoever unless you are wearing it and that it seems common, but Brainwavz reached out and referred me to the proper installation steps (you need to push on the inner ring, possibly because the fit is tighter than OEM), and I can confirm they stay put just fine now, so I upped my review to 5 stars for the product & support!

Hi

I am sorry that you are having difficulty with our earpads. May I recommend that you push our earpads from the inner ring, this should slot them into place and they will not fall off.

Both earpads use the same plastic ring attachment, there is no difference between the plastic rings used on each earpad.

There is also a video on the product page and our YouTube showing how to install these earpads.

I hope this helps, please reach out to our support to for more assistance.

Thanks

Bit of work to clip on HD58X

Took a bit of effort to get them to clip on the HD58X headphones but after feeling around and finally getting them to snap in place they seem to be staying on well.
The sound quality appears to be the same great quality as the original earpads and are very comfortable.

Once you get through the effort of snapping them properly into the headphones they are good and would recommend as replacements for the HD58X.

Perfect

My last ear pads were a real nightmare. Today I can finally enjoy my headphones with the same comfort as the first day. A real pleasure. Be careful, however, the prices do not take into account customs taxes applicable in France.

A perfect replacement

Buying replacement pads for the Sennheiser HD650 can be tricky. Outside the direct replacement from Sennheiser, most replacements impact the sound tuning negatively. Every replacement set I have tried has been a failure; until now. The Brainwavz replacement pads are nearly identical to the OG ones provided by Sennheiser! This is a welcome relief as Sennheiser Pads tend to wear out after a year due to their construction. The Brainwavz pads are just as plush, padded, and comfortable as the originals with a significantly better value proposition. I wasn't sure what to expect from these pads, but upon their arrival, it was clear that these were as good, if not better than the original. If you are looking for replacement pads for your Sennheiser Huh Duh Six Hungeos, then look no further. For the price, I will be buying a couple more sets to future-proof my headphones for many years to come.FYI: The second photo shows the HD6XX with original pads from Sennheiser while the HD650 are using the Brainwavz replacement pads.

Brainwavz Sennheiser Replacement Earpads

Several months ago I had replaced the stock pads with some "cooling gel" pads. They weren't really different feeling from the stock pads and they negatively changed the sound profile. These Brainwavz earpads are closer to OEM, and now the sound from my HD58X Jubilee is phenomenal!!! I'm once again hearing fingers sliding on the frets during acoustic sets and all the distinct layers within songs are recognizable.Additionally, these pads are plush velour and they are so comfortable. I had zero heat issues and I didn't have to adjust them at all during my 60-minute listening session.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with these Brainwavz replacement earpads. My only complaint is I didn't try them sooner!!! I'm now going to see if they offer replacement options for other cans I have.

Stayed on so far...

I've bought plenty of cheap ear pads for my HD650s and they practically self-eject after a time. The flat plastic fitment on the rear distorts and acts like a spring to ping the pads off. It drives me mad. These ones have stayed on for a couple of weeks (so far),,, fingers crossed.
