Sennheiser 280 Pro Upgrade!

Bought these for a 6 year old pair of Sennheiser 280 Pro phones for my home studio-this is a spare pair, mostly I'm cutting drum tracks and use Beyer DT770s. Like many people who buy these phones, I was disappointed after a few years when the cheap plastic started to crack and flake off, even thought these were rarely used and kept in a cabinet. Found the Brainwavz site and ordered the Memory Foam Microsuede ear pads-they arrived quickly, and were pretty easy to install-What a difference!! Very comfy, and great isolation, too! Bravo Brainwavz!!

More Comfortable, Durable and have improved the Sound

Got the Micro Suede in black for my AKG K371s. There was improvement in sound quality, both in highs and lows. The bass is more rumbly, and the details are more audible. The materials used feel nice, way nicer than the default ones, and my ears fit nicely inside the ear cups, so now I can leave one ear out to talk to someone without causing pain to my other ear. One concern I have is about the seal at the lower part of the ear cup, but I feel like that'll resolve itself with time.

One of the best earpads for closed headphones.

These earpads has all you want for a closed headphone: comfort, isolation, cheap, not altering the sound too much. I have them on a AKG K 270 Playback and could'n be more happy.

SO SMOOTH

I've tried it all, velour, sheepskin, PA whatever.
I lose some of the bass in my Meze 99 from the original pads, but the drivers themselves are strong enough to still give a great punchy and tight bass. Actually prefer the soundstage these give, feels a bit wider.

There's a bit too much fake leather on the part where you strap it to the cans, so you'd need to do some kind of smart stuff to make it perfect, I just left as is. Looks good enough.

They are just SO soft my girlfriend immediately demanded I buy her not only one, but two so she has a spare of the XL ones to fit her Beyerdynamics!

Buying another one for my other cans too, god damn!

Comfortable. A relief

Better than the old leather cups I had that came stock with my hyperx clouds. After a lot of use leather cups will practically choke your ears so these are a nice relief
